Educational Background: B.S. at Bates College “Social Science” Degree

Attending one of America’s elite liberal arts colleges granted me with a breadth of curricular and extracurricular learning opportunities, and fostered my social science research skills and critical thinking. For two years, I worked as a part-time event coordinator and security coordinator at Bates College, helping with logistical tasks. Then, I worked with the European Fulbright Commission, a flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. Working with the Fulbright Commission was an important stepping stone to the world of education advocacy. In 2015, I moved to Wuxi, and began working with students from different high schools. Simultaneously working with a small batch of Changzhou and Nanjing students helped me further develop important counseling skills needed to serve students from multiple regions. Then in 2017, I moved to Changzhou where I led an interdisciplinary summer camp, taught a Critical Thinking course in 2018, and have persisted in counseling high school students and transfer students. With more than five years in the field, I have assisted students to get into their dream school or help them discover “fit” schools, equally capable of shaping students to be successful.
