The Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests (CSMC and CIMC) are two contests designed to give students the opportunity to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability.
Audience
Students in Grades 10 or 9 or below (CIMC) and Grades 12 or 11 and CéGEP students (CSMC); motivated students in lower grades are also encouraged to write these contests.

9 questions; 6 are answer only and 3 are full solution
marks for full solution questions assigned for form and style of presentation

The contest is written by individuals in schools. More information for the supervising teachers is available.
Mathematical Content
Most of the CIMC problems are based on the mathematical curriculum up to and including Grade 10. Most of the CSMC problems are based on the mathematical curriculum up to and including the final year of secondary school.
Contest Registration Information
Schools can register for contests online by the deadline. All contest registrations must come from schools. Students who finished school last term or semester should register through that school.

Contest Preparation
The Grade 12 open courseware, Mathematics Resource Manual and Euclid eWorkshop can help you brush up on the material and provide many problems with solutions. Past contests give you a sense of the style of the questions and include problems ranging from easy to very challenging.
Results and Recognition
The results booklet and averages and cutoffs are online.
Teachers can access their students' results and generate certificates.
