Seven months have passed since I arrived in China, but I still can’t make up my mind about I’m here. If at the beginning I wasn’t really sure to come to China, now I think it was a very good idea. I’m so glad that I’ve chosen to come here. China isn’t an “easy” country to live in, the differences are so many and it’s hard to get used to Chinese life style. But day by day I’m getting used to this life.

On first arrival to China, the human wave can shock you. Everywhere you go, airport, public malls, tourist sites, restaurants, railway stations, bus stations, you can see nothing but waves and waves of people. As a foreigner when I first arrived in China I just saw a big “chaos” in front of me. Everything was caothic, loud and so different from Italy. Under standing Chinese culture requires a lot of patience, you can’t pretend to get it in a few days, especially if you come from a country that is so different. Staying here, I understood why China is actually one of the first world powers. This is a country where people really believe in hard working and studying and that’s how China obtained so much success. In a few years Chinese power has overcome an American and European power, that is amazing thing.

A funny thing here is that people still stare at the foreigners, if in Italy no one can even tell if you are a foreigner, here in China they point the finger at you surprised. One of the most amazing things about China is the people, they are the most welcoming persons I have ever met, and they are always ready to help you in every situation. Chinese food…… I love it! Here in China I ate a lot of things I didn’t even see before.

I cannot say anything bad about my school, I just love it. I have never had any problems. The most important person for me at school is my Chinese teacher. She is like a mother for me and the other foreign students. She always cares about us and our problems. We can always find her in her office and she is always there ready to solve our troubles. At the beginning I have tried to stay with my Chinese class, but I think that staying in my classroom and study alone is better because I still can’t understand the lessons in Chinese. During the morning I have the Chinese lessons with the other foreign students and in the afternoon we stay all together studying and doing the homework. We also have some extra activities in the afternoon. We have Pin pang, Chinese art and calligraphy lessons. At school the classrooms are really comfortable and they have heating. My school is the best in the city and it really is.
