Alan Barbee grew up and was educated in the United States. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree as well as a Master of Arts degree from New Mexico State University. Before transitioning to education his background included multiple years of business experience. Additionally, Alan graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in History and Secondary Education. He has a varied teaching background which includes experience in traditional, alternative and online schools. His role at Changzhou Senior High School extends beyond the classroom. He is an advisor to students who are participating in the Business Simulation Exercise, organized by King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario. Before relocating to Changzhou, he spent his spare time participating in a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as rock and ice climbing, white water rafting, canyoneering, backcountry skiing, sea kayaking and mountain biking. Alan also has a variety of international travel experience as well traveling to 25 countries over the last six years.
