Michael Larsen was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada.He earned his Bachelor's Degree at UBC and Master's Degree at University of Oregon.  For 34 years he taught in a city just east of Vancouver - the last 25 at Centennial High School where he taught mainly Mathematics and Chemistry. For the last 10 years he was the Advanced Placement Coordinator for the school.  He was also one of the inaugural winners of Canada's 'Prime Minister's Award For Teaching Excellence'.
